This beautifully finished fastener is forged from steel and is a part of the Hinton range of products. It has the added security of a locking mechanism operated by means of a small grub screw on the handle. This Night Venting Fastener is easy to fit and allows the window to be open and let air in whilst remaining locked. The handle is reversible to be fitted to the left or right hand side of the window. Windows without a central mullion, a separate Hook Plate must be ordered. Suitable for internal and external use. Supplied complete with fixings.
This finish is manufactured from solid unlaquered bronze containing a minimum of 85% copper. Our aged bronze is matt and rich due to the finishing process we use to age the metal, this process initially darkens the material, however this finish will gradually oxidize over time revealing the warm copper undertones. Lightening the finish can be accelerated by hand-polishing with a heavy dry cloth. This finish has been salt tested to 480 hours, which meets grade 5 British Standard.
